Blending tones to create harmony for interior spaces
A trend that has accompanied monochromatic designs for the past few years, a splash of color is finally dissipating. Quite frankly that little splash has been the core of much apprehension. A lot of thought would have to be put into that Splash. What color shall it be? What shade? And the big question- how much is a splash exactly? Replacing it is a much more structured approach to design, one which is a blend of tones. An example of this ombré is white, dove grey, graphite, and black. It allows for a build up a colors at a gradual pace unlike SURPRISE a splash! As a designer, I embrace all color but sometimes a splash can be a bit of a shock to the system. This new more hierarchical approach creates an obvious harmony. And if you crave a pop of color- go for it, since there are three others that will anchor it to keep it balanced- and possibly won't scare your friends. Wondering how to incorporate this concept into your space? Contact Eclectic Elements. We're here to save you, from yourself.
